Similar to other video downloaders, FYT - All video Downloader has a user-friendly interface so both beginners and experienced users can quickly start using it. It doesn’t have any advanced features or settings but what it offers is simple enough to understand and master.
Where are videos going after being downloaded?
As evident in the name, FYT - All video Downloader only has one function. With it, you can retrieve video files by simply copy-pasting their URLs onto the app. Take note that it only supports links from five social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, and Daily Motion. Any other app or site is not accepted, which narrows down your list of video sources.
After downloading your chosen content, files are downloaded directly into a separate folder in your phone’s directory. You can choose to store it in the device storage or in an added memory card. Additionally, all your downloaded video files can be accessed directly from the app. This in-program gallery view allows you to view all your files without leaving the video downloader.
Which file formats does Video Downloader support?
FYT - All Video Downloader supports most major video formats. This includes, but is not limited to, MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, AVI, FLV, and more. It even allows you to download files in a GIF format. This flexible format support allows you to download files and watch them with the media player you prefer. The app even promises total privacy as it doesn’t collect or share information with third-party users.
When you launch the app, it will display its license agreement, EULA license, and privacy policy. While you can download files from social media networks, you can only get public videos from them. The menu will display a “Paste Link” field and the five supported sites’ icons. You can either directly paste a copied link from them onto the blank field or open their corresponding icon to view your gallery, too.
What quality of the video will I get after I download it from FYT Video downloader?
Video quality is also not a problem with this FYT tool, as it allows you to choose video quality whenever available. Video streaming platforms like Facebook and Instagram let their viewers watch the content of varying qualities for data consumption purposes—and you can choose them too, restricted only by the original uploaded file. You can’t download a video of a higher quality than the uploaded one.
During the downloading process, there’s hardly any delay in getting the videos you want. This is mainly because these files are already in the social media sites’ databases. That’s also why you can only download public ones. You can show the files in your main gallery app if you want to. Aside from these, however, there’s not much else to the app. The settings only display the license agreements.
Has the potential to improve
All in all, FYT - All video Downloader is a nice little tool to have if you want to easily download video clips from your favorite social media apps mentioned above. While it doesn’t have advanced features and only a few supported sources that would make it a strong contender against other similar apps, its download speed is still nothing to scoff at. It has great potential in becoming a highly-preferred video downloader.
